Afrodet Zuri is an art curator and advisor with a focus on contemporary art and its evolving role in culture and society. Her work often intersects with broader fields including philanthropy, technology, fashion, and emerging platforms like web3. Drawing on experience in communications, brand strategy, public programming, and strategic partnerships, her work extends into strategic communications at lov.foundation, where she helps shape narratives at the intersection of art, culture, and social impact. Her portfolio boasts curatorial projects including a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, arts programming for the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, and the inaugural NFT exhibition at the World Trade Center. She has also co-curated multiple exhibitions for nft now & Christie's The Gateway activations during Miami Basel and Frieze Seoul. Notably, as a Founding Curator at ARTIVIST in Seoul, she played a pivotal role in launching the artist residency and collectors club and she curated the annual programme of artists. As a member of the Artemis Council at the New Museum, Afrodet actively contributes to supporting exhibitions, commissions, and residencies by women artists. She has also co-founded several influential initiatives, including the Storm King Art Center’s young patrons group, served as a founding Contemporary of the Whitney Museum, and acted as a founding Patron of Fotografiska Museum. In addition to her professional achievements, Afrodet's compassion and drive for social change led her to co-found Peace of Mind in 2022. This NGO provides mental health relief to children traumatized by war, using art and therapy as tools for healing. She has been featured in Vogue, Whitewall, Cultured, Artsy, New York Magazine, ArtNet, ArtNews, Coolhunting, Maxim, and more.
